The focus of the battle moved north - as the Naval Brigade advanced along the railway cutting, and the infantry brigade advanced up the road.
Army Red deployed the 1st BVC to slow down the advance.
To date, the artillery had experienced a frustrating afternoon - this suddenly changed for Blue!
At this crucial moment, the Naval Brigade appeared from the railway cutting and began to assault the Estate...
Army Red's last Yeomanry Regiment deployed to engage them.
It was now Red's turn to inflict some accurate artillery fire.
As the final Army Blue assault was prepared, the Umpire called Time.
It proved to be an excellent afternoon with Blue achieving his objective and Red inflicting a lot of damage, and retiring with the cannons intact.
The result chimed with HG's original, and was a very useful playtest for the revised rules.
Thanks to JW and TG (remote) for their generalship.
